Description
"It seemed unthinkable for me to leave the world forever before I had produced all that I felt called upon to produce" ~ Ludwig van Beethoven
This wonderful scene is one that greets me each time I visit my mother's home. The Bust of Beethoven was hand finished by her many years ago, and the interior decor of her home has a wonderful French Country touch to it. Must have something to do with coming from Nice, France. Europe is just in her blood and the arts are just a natural part of her life.
Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western art music, he remains one of the most famous and influential of all composers. (Borrowed this from Wikipedia) His music is timeless.

This took my breath away, as well as your story about it. I grew up with this very same statue (minus the green patina...ours is bronze) which resided in my parents' living room. It now has fpund a home in my own living room. My mom made him a paper birthday hat as we celebrate his birthday every year! Like/f
