Description
I photographed this entry stairway and digitally aged the image to give it a nostalgic finish. Fits well with the fact that the home was built in 1897, and is a great companion piece to my Kimberly Crest - Victorian Home image.
Kimberly Crest House and Gardens is a French chateau-style Victorian mansion located in Redlands, California, and is registered as a California Historical Landmark. The name Kimberly comes from the one time owner, John Alfred Kimberly, a co-founder of the Kimberly-Clark paper company. After his daughters death in 1979, the home was turned into a museum with Prospect Park Botanical Gardens adjacent to it.
The home has been used in several films and also depicted in the Video of Fleetwood Mac's "Big Love" song.
There's lots of history here in the city of Redlands. And for those that love Country-Victorian architecture, it is a paradise of beautiful homes.

Thank you John. These out-of-the-way places are really cool little finds, that many do not know exist, and are places that I enjoy sharing very much.
