The old hymn asks "What can wash away my sin?" And then the only answer... "Nothing but the blood of Jesus!".
"What can make me whole again?" And the only thing... "Nothing but the blood of Jesus!".
The longer I live this Christian life, the more I realize just how fortunate I am to have been exposed to the story of salvation... and just how far I am from any resemblance of personal righteousness. Adam's fall was a long way down.
How great it is that I don't have to struggle to gain God's acceptance? I just need to accept the righteousness of the one man, Jesus Christ, as my own. Simple, yet so profound.
