Description
At the top of the ridge stood this lonely California Pine that had taken the brunt of the winds that whip through this San Bernardino Forest mountain region. This was the first snow of the season in 2010, with a fresh, clean blanket across the higher areas. The tree looked as though it had endured this hardship more than just a few times.
"A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is.... A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in." ~ C.S. Lewis

Fabulous winter photograph of a lone California Pine covered in snow, with a great blue sky background, and composition, Glenn! Congratulations on your feature in The 200 Club. F/L
