Description
The Thunderbirds are one of the longest running aerial acrobatic teams still performing. I caught them at March Air Force Base in Southern California in April 2016. It was my first experience photographing jets and planes performing. Had a great time keeping up with them!
Here the Lead Solo Pilot Nicholas Eberling is moving by in a slow pass. I thought this "almost hovering" maneuver was pretty incredible. He's just powering up again at about this point to thrust off.
