Artist's Description
I remember when my father used to take me to the Mount Whitney area when I was younger and the Owens Valley still had a great lake going across it. Los Angeles took most of that water and now the lake bed has very little moisture to speak of. These rocks in the Alabama Hills are a favorite spot. Makes me feel as though I'm looking out from a lunar surface. Those are the Inyo Mountains located opposite the Sierra Nevada's. On the other side of them and a little distance is Death Valley.
