Description
"What makes the desert beautiful is that somewhere it hides a well." ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery
The Arizona Desert is one of the true treasures for natural terrain and scenic lovers. It is a main staple of western travel magazines such as "Arizona Highways" and "Westways". Numerous western movies, with grand vistas that go on forever, are in the film archives.
This photograph was taken in Picacho State Park. The shadows and light play well off the Cholla plant needles, rocks textures, and light cloud mist. Left some nice contrast in the gray scale.
