Description
A look upward through the top of the domed Botanical Building Atrium in Balboa Park. Quite a wonder of natural vegetation and architectural beauty. The structure is made of redwood lath with the middle dome rising over 50 ft in the air.
There is lots of up-keep going on here. "Mildew, termites and rust are perpetual problems. Pigeons are a nuisance as are, though the gardeners might not like to say so, people who are continually taking away plants by the roots and as cuttings." to quote!
