I took this photograph on a night that was full of mist and fog in the city of New Orleans. We were just passing through Louisiana on a long trek home. It was December 22nd and we needed to be back in California in time for Christmas.
The architecture and colors along Bourbon Street were mesmerizing. Though the activity is not really my cup of java, the visual scene can be pretty awe inspiring. We were there for all of 2 hours before piling back into the vehicle and blasting our way into a major thunderstorm rolling through Texas in the middle of the evening.
I've treated the photography into a painting. Use the High Resolution Preview for a closer look at the details. The Fine Art America Security Watermark does not appear on any purchased product.

Welcome to Glenn McCarthy Art and Photography. My primary goal is to share art and photography that matters, or just clicks somewhere in your soul. I choose to stay away from being typecast in one style, theme, or stereotype. I prefer to dabble in a variety of scenes and venues. But I think you'll find that I have a fondness of the great outdoors. Perhaps we need to pause a bit longer and enjoy a hot beverage and a bit of conversation along the way. That seems to be a lost art in a day where everything is moving far too fast. Click the Collection of your choice and begin your journey.
