This cafe sign has always caught my attention while moving along Highway 138 in California. It's at the foothills of the San Bernardino Forest intersection of Highway 2 that goes through Wrightwood and the ski resorts at Mountain High.

The small cafe caught fire several times but some repairs and renovations have always insured a place for travelers to stop for breakfast, linch, or dinner. Another old time stop for truckers and skiers too.

This neon sign would not be nearly as attractive without all the peeling and faded paint and decay that is taking place. It truly adds character.
