I love California back roads and off the highway scenes. There's nothing like jumping into my aging Ford Explorer and going... exploring!

This countryside photograph comes from Live Oak Canyon Road in Redlands. This little respite was welcome as I wound my way through this rural enclave. The sunlight backlit the golden leaves against the green of the grassy hillsides.
