Description
Engine 18 was part of the thin rail line that worked the Southern Pacific Railroad route from the Nevada, Oregon, and California to the Owens Valley. This is the oil tanker car as I photographed it originally in 2010. It has since gone through an extensive restoration. You can learn more about the Slim Princess by going to the You Tube link at the bottom of the page.
I've taken some time to give the original digital photograph a vintage finish. Seemed fitting as a memento to the industrial past of the great SP Railroad system that lasted from 1865 until it's merger with Union Pacific in 1996.
