Description
I love to catch a view of the colonade at missions with these long walkways. Love the beauty of the Spanish architecture with the brickwork and Terra Cotta tiling. It is a great place to take a seat on one of the benches and enjoy the quiet.
"The Mission of the Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary" is the English translation of the Spanish Name ( La Misión de La Purísima Concepción de la Santísima Virgen María ) for this fantastic mission. La Purisima is the only mission owned and operated by the State Of California. It has been wonderfully restored in 1941 by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
This is the most impressive California Mission I have visited aside from San Juan Capistrano. The history museum here is the best. The large property takes you back in time.

Great leading lines...by the way I just realized that you are only the third person I've seen that spells "Glenn" with two N's after Glenn Miller and Glenn Frey
Glenn McCarthy Art and Photography replied:
Thank You Jim. I was named after Glenn Ford because my mother had just gone to see one of his movies the night before...
