It was early Sunday morning in August 2019. I was combing through the fringes of the west San Fernando Valley when I came upon a step back in time.

Chatsworth Lake is a small country town within a huge conglomeration of LA County development. It was kinda like blinking and finding myself in another place all of a sudden. Of course, another couple of eye flashes and I was back where I began too.

I grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Chatsworth Park was part of my playground. But I cannot recollect ever being in Chatsworth Lake. There's always something new to discover.

This is the chapel located in the middle of the community. The Santa Susana hills and Simi Pass are behind the church building.
