Description
The Route 66 signage was in front of one of the small businesses in Williams, Arizona, and along the traditional Route 66 Highway. And yes, they did have a large steel Route 66 shield sign inside the store.
I recommend Williams Arizona for those who love small historic towns and their old buildings. But more than that, you are centralized in an area with so much to do! Also known as the "Gateway to the Grand Canyon", one can jump a train to the south rim... or drive an hour and find themself in Flagstaff. Another half hour and you're in Sedona.
But if you just want to hang in the general vicinity, the camping, hiking, fishing, and Old Town itself are plenty to take in. Williams is a destination spot.
