Description
I could see from my home the white caps of the San Jacinto Mountains and was prompted to make an executive decision. "I'm jumping into my man made people carrier and heading into them!"
I did the nearly 100 mile loop drive through California Scenic Route 74 to Coachella Valley and circled around into Palm Springs to where the Aerial Tramway turnoff leading to the mountains is. But alas... the road (which can be seen in the distance) was closed due to the pandemic. I still managed a few photos from the desert area below before heading for home up U.S. Highway 10.
Here Mount San Jacinto is being hidden by the cloud covering. The peak reaches 10,834 feet. It was a majestic sight.
