Description
The Thunderbirds are one of the longest running aerial acrobatic teams still performing. I caught them at March Air Force Base in Southern California. It was my first experience photographing jets and planes performing. Had a great time keeping up with them!
Here they have just dropped out of the sky after doing a 360 degree flip. The amount of skill involved is overwhelming. They are flying within just a few feet of each other at high speed while performing twists and turns in sync. I created several textures for this image and manipulated a painted style finish.

Voted for 500 or More Views. I went o high school near Fort Mason and got to enjoy seeing the Blue Angels annually. Truly amazing shot but photographing the fast movement can be easy. Those metal bird sometimes gone by the time I heard the sound.
