Description
This is what is left of the Ryan Ranch where the Ryan family, owners of "The Lost Horse Mine", lived in the latter part of the 19th Century. It is located in the aptly named "Lost Horse Valley", a beautifully scenic random desert garden area of Joshua Tree National Park.
If you look closely you can see the almost poetic carvings and graffiti of visitors from the nearby campgrounds and hiking trails. The lone, barren tree pretty much tells the story of a very hot and rugged place. You can see what they saw from their front room at the link on the bottom of the description. Simply stunning!
Use the High Resolution preview for a closer look at the texture and painted style finish to the photo. The Fine Art America Security Watermark does not appear on any purchased product.
