In 2005 we took a road trip to Lake Havasu, Arizona. Having rented a pontoon to explore the lake we settled into a small cove where these 2 visitors came down to get a drink in the heat of the day. Our presence didn't seem to be much of a bother for them.
The Desert Bighorn Sheep are beautiful creatures. The Havasu National Wildlife Refuge is a haven for birds, bighorn sheep, coyotes, porcupines, the desert tortoise and bobcats.
The photograph has been finished to look like a painting. I have pondered the best way to present them for the last 8 years. After many attempts ( without personal satisfaction ) I find myself happy with this final product.
