Photographed this facing eastward from the west lawn of the mansion. Kimberly Crest has a tremendous regal appeal to it. I just read where there are stories of it being haunted and that some have seen an image watching them as they leave from the third story window. Funny, because I made note of someone watching us from the third story as we left for the day.
Kimberly Crest House and Gardens is a French chateau-style Victorian mansion located in Redlands, California, and is registered as a California Historical Landmark. The name Kimberly comes from the one time owner, John Alfred Kimberly, a co-founder of the Kimberly-Clark paper company. After his daughters death in 1979, the home was turned into a museum with Prospect Park Botanical Gardens adjacent to it.
The home has been used in several films and also depicted in the Video of Fleetwood Mac's "Big Love" song.
There's lots of history here in the city of Redlands. And for those that love Country-Victorian arc...
