This back road winds through the barren hill country leading into the Lucerne Valley, California. The outhouse to the left was part of the remnants of the residence that once housed a family that lived on the outskirts. There are hidden caves among the rocks that Indians once used to evade capture by armed forces. A history that most would not realize existed as they made their way along the road.
