The peaceful setting of the Nashville's historic Scarritt-Bennett Center and the gothic Harry Potter-esque architecture. It has been widely recognized as one of the most beautiful group of education buildings in this country and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
This is a photograph I took one golden afternoon as I took a walk from our hotel towards Vanderbilt University. I didn't know what to expect from this historic area but I loved these buildings that were built around the 1930's. The history of the college includes being the first white, private college in Tennessee to admit Black students who were U. S. citizens. A ground breaking place. Hallowed ground.
