These quaint little shops, in one the most well maintained cities in America, are hard to pass up. There's just something about the rich charm and innocence of Carmel that disarms me. Yeah, chocolate is good for you, just like vitamins, in a setting like this. Can even take a piece of the gingerbread roof for your walk along the road. Great place to revisit your childhood.
The original cottage was built in 1922 as a weavers studio. Then it became a ticket office for the local theater after having been moved. After that lifetime it became a dress shop... and then finally a candy store in 1959.
