Another view of the Kimberly Crest Manor, this time from the steps leading to the structure. I like the fountain with the little girl gazing at the home. There are stories of it being haunted and that some have seen an image watching them as they leave from the third story window... the one with the lamp on in the window. Funny, because I made note of someone watching us from the third story as we left for the day, and before I knew that particular rumor.
Kimberly Crest House and Gardens is a French chateau-style Victorian mansion located in Redlands, California, and is registered as a California Historical Landmark. The name Kimberly comes from the one time owner, John Alfred Kimberly, a co-founder of the Kimberly-Clark paper company. After his daughters death in 1979, the home was turned into a museum with Prospect Park Botanical Gardens adjacent to it.
The home has been used in several films and also depicted in the Video of Fleetwood Mac's "Big Love" song.
