Description
This peak is located about 2 miles outside the mountain town of Idyllwild in the Southern California San Bernardino Forest. The photograph was taken on January 1, 2019. It was clear and cold.
I've always thought of Tahquitz Peak as a century guarding the little town. It is an impressive formation that many climbers have traveled far to scale. The granite rock structure has a 1000 foot face. The peak is 8,846 feet.
