Rev. Herschell Harkins Memorial Pacifica Pier is located in the small coastal town of Pacifica, California. It is primarily a fishing pier without all the fanfare of tourist shops and ferris wheels. Rather, it's about the smell of fish, bait, local fishermen, and the local gulls and pigeons. But more than that, it is small town America and the personalities that inhabit it... of every class and walk of life.
The pier sits on a beach that is littered with craggy rocks and dark sand. It is an L-shaped, narrow concrete structure that reaches into a beautiful Pacific Ocean. Not much hustle and bustle. A serene and tranquil setting.
