"Psalm One"
Psalm One is one of my favorite Bible passages. If we plant ourselves in His word, God promises that we will be like a tree that yields an abundance of fruit, and that we will not whither up and become unusable.. The river of life will cause the work of our hands to flourish! I have committed it to memory and meditate on it often.
This is what prompted me to pen this first ink drawing in 2009. It was spontaneous and I used a few "at hand" references. It is part of my sketches collection... though it took me longer than just a few hours. I worked on it as the days grew long and the recession was in full swing. Business had slowed to a crawl and I needed to utilize the expensive counter that hadn't seen very many customers! It was new territory.
I hope you will enjoy this piece. But more importantly, I hope that you will look up the passage for yourself and be reacquainted with it. God's promises are true.
