Random Wilderness - Joshua Tree National Park

I was in the desert front yard of Ryan Ranch, an old property that was acquired in 1890 by the Ryan family, owners and managers the Lost Horse Mine. Living in the extreme desert like this is beyond my comprehension... until I see an everyday vista like this. The home had two large picture framed windows, floor to ceiling. Who needs paintings? The valley area here is named "Lost Horse Valley".
