Artist's Description
The back roads along the Angeles National Forest yield some quiet and simple visual pleasures that can be taken for granted. Having an eye open for some of the unusual, almost Sleepy Hollow style old trees is a favorite past time of mine. These are bare at the moment because of a change in season, but they will be lush and full of life during the spring... and still watching over drivers on the small highway. Since I have a residence just below in the desert, I try to take the longer winding road to it. There are fewer cars, lots less litter, and greater opportunities to catch the out of the ordinary.
