Mostly a stippling study that was inspired and conceived through a meditative inspiration.

If I were an artist who was living in the time of Christ and He had stepped into my studio as a resting stop along his way, what characteristics would I see in his face? What depth of feeling would I capture in His eyes? What image would I see if I had the opportunity to draw a quick portrait?

I visualized that His features would reflect a man of complete understanding. His presence would emanate with all of the attributes of love, compassion, and wisdom. His assertions would prompt a desire to put all of my concerns aside and pay attention to his words. Most of all, His personality would reveal that His desire is for mercy from personal condemnation and release from my own inner struggle.

His name, Jesus, is the dividing line between talking about God, and pinpointing God. - Glenn McCarthy
