"Watching Over Ahwanee, Yosemite"

This POV I caught of the Ahwanee Hotel, in Yosemite National Park, reminded me of a great guardian protecting the area. The Ahwahnee Hotel is the diamond hotel of Yosemite National Park, California, on the floor of Yosemite Valley. It is constructed from stone, concrete, wood and glass, and opened in 1927. It is a premiere example of National Park Service rustic architecture, and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. The Royal Arches behind the Hotel dwarf the scene. Although the overlook seems almost protective, granite rockfall closes the hotel from time to time.
