"Forest Stairway"
The old stairway, in the Angeles National Forest, lent itself to a nice black and white photograph. The rock work was completed many years ago behind the Ranger Station located in Big Pines, and was accomplished by the hands of convicts. Lots of the conveniences along the roads and bridges have been done by those incarcerated in camps in the mountains outside of Los Angeles.
