Description
Kimberly Crest House and Gardens is a French chateau-style Victorian mansion located in Redlands, California, and is registered as a California Historical Landmark. The name Kimberly comes from the one time owner, John Alfred Kimberly, a co-founder of the Kimberly-Clark paper company. After his daughters death in 1979, the home was turned into a museum with Prospect Park Botanical Gardens adjacent to it.
The home has been used in several films and also depicted in the Video of Fleetwood Mac's "Big Love" song. I chose this portico entry Black and White to offer to you. Has a mysterious quality to it. It was designed in the Chteauesque style by Oliver Perry Dennis and Lyman Farwell, architects.
There's lots of history here in the city of Redlands. And for those that love Country-Victorian architecture, it is a paradise of beautiful homes.
