Description
"Rustic Warrior"
The rustic tanker was now another display ornament decorating the outside of the desert grill. One look at it made me wonder what events it had seen in it's heyday in the early 1900's. Possibly used to move families through the rough terrain, or to deliver much needed water or oil to workers that were relocated to remote places. Perhaps even used to transport water to a roaring blaze... But today it is a mounted heirloom kindling memories of the past.
The "Rustic Warrior" resided at the former jewel of Victorville, the "Cocky Bull" saloon, restaurant, and country entertainment center. Lot's of great country music stars passed through here in the 80's and 90's. When the Southern California country circuit was in full swing for full time bands, the Cocky Bull was the most remote A-List club. Legendary stars like Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Patty Loveless and Garth Brooks all graced the stage at the Cocky Bull. The building was razed in late 2015. Just another memory of years gone by.
I've treated the photography into a painting. Use the High Resolution Preview for a closer look at the details. The Fine Art America Security Watermark does not appear on any purchased product.
