Description

I couldn't pass up the sun setting across the golden fields in Pleasant Valley Arizona. We spent 3 days here. It is about as peaceful a place as I have ever visited. The population is just over 600. And everybody knows everybody... and everything! Our presence there, and business there was known by strangers. Like the town of Mayberry.

There is one full-service restaurant, one gas station, which sells gas and diesel fuel, two convenience stores, an auto parts store, an auto mechanic and off road racing team, a motel, numerous cabins and cottages for rent, a small medical center, a thrift shop, a public library, a refuse service, Valley Bar, and a weekly medical clinic. There is an award-winning vineyard that has weekly wine tastings and serves gourmet dinners. Young also has a resident deputy and a volunteer fire department, and community center.
