What can beat an order window for buying apple pies? Forget the fast food walk up. Nothing like smelling the baked goods while you wait for your order.
I took this photo while in the little town of Julian, California. It is well known for it's apple pies and great small bakery restaurants. One won't find any cookie cutter fast food or restaurant venues in this town. All privately owned and operated by the townsfolk.
Good old fashioned Americana!
