Description

As I drove Highway 111 from the Palm Desert area, I kept my eyes peeled to the peaks of the San Jacinto Mountains. The clouds began to part and a majestic stream of light began to splash into the valley where Snow Creek Village is found

I pulled off the road and photographed things as quickly as I could. The scene was changing moment by moment. To get an idea of the scope of these mountains one has just to find the structures at the bottom of the image. They're like specks in comparison to the awesome monuments of nature.
