Description
As we came into view of the valley I realized that once again the haze from a fire had fogged the clarity of the corridor. As a photographer I was a bit disturbed because I don't have the luxury of coming this far often to get it right. I had already made one trip a couple of years earlier where the whole state of California was on fire and photographing was almost impossible!
So I decided to turn to digital means and make use of layering and filters to transform this into a painted style finish. I particularly liked the ethereal Maxfield Parrish blue cast and light. So I made it a tribute to his style.

Wow, I started to worry you went AI on us too. Great use of the layering painting for this. I spent a lot of time ogling Parrish’s work in colleague. Absolutely love his signature teal-blue. Fire is an issue here in Ca. I live four hours away—one year, the air was orange for several days. Some guy wore a firemen face mask to go to the office. My kinds had no outside activity at school for the right reason.
